A couple based in Swiss Cottage are looking for a nanny to join their family of three to look after their most treasured little one. Their daughter will be two and a half and is a bright, active little girl who loves getting out and about, meeting people, attending classes and learning new things. The family have had their current Norlander for over two years and is now looking for someone to take over as she moves on to travel.

The family are looking for someone engaging and proactive, who will build a
strong bond with their daughter, while naturally encouraging her independence and supporting her through this stage of development. She is an active little girl, and her nanny plays an important role in keeping her stimulated - planning activities, getting out to classes, arranging playdates and finding opportunities for her to explore and learn.

From September, their daughter will begin nursery five days a week, initially attending from approximately 8:30 am -1 pm, with the possibility of extending her day until 3 pm as she becomes ready to drop her afternoon nap. Mum works from home two days a week, while Dad works outside the home - this remains a sole-charge position and the successful nanny should be comfortable taking full ownership of the day.

A genuine love of cooking would be a wonderful asset to this role. The family place a high priority on healthy, homemade food for their daughter and would love a nanny who is happy to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for her as part of their day. The nanny will also naturally keep an eye on her developmental milestones and make sure she is being supported and encouraged as she grows.

The family do not travel extensively at present, although they expect this to increase as their daughter gets older and better at travelling. They would therefore like someone flexible and happy to travel occasionally, with the family being mindful of balancing their plans with the nanny's own holidays. A driver is essential, particularly as the family travels to their parents' home in Buckinghamshire and their current nanny occasionally takes their daughter there for visits, although there is not a huge amount of regular driving required. Whilst the family do not own any pets, their parents in Buckinghamshire have a very sweet dog so anyone allergic to or scared of dogs would not be suitable for this role.

They are looking for someone with strong childcare experience and relevant qualifications, and while a Norland Nanny would be wonderful, they are very open to candidates from other training backgrounds who can demonstrate the same level of experience, professionalism and commitment. An ability to speak Hindi would be a lovely bonus, although this is certainly not essential.

A cleaner visits the house twice a week, but the nanny will be responsible for keeping the nursery clean, laundry for the little one and tidying up after her.

The family can offer live-in or live-out, with a private bedroom and bathroom available within the home.
