Daily or Live-in Nanny - Birmingham

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 gross per year

An opportunity for a dedicated and professional nanny to join a family based in Birmingham (B17). The family have two young children, a 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl, with a third child due in March. They are seeking a long-term nanny who can become a part of the team.

This role is offered as either a live-in or live-out position. For live-in, the nanny will be provided with an en-suite bedroom. Live-in hours will be 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. For live-out, the hours will typically be 8:00 am - 6:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. The family home is just 15 minutes from Birmingham city centre and well-connected by public transport.

The candidate will bring warmth, energy, and a structured approach to the role. The family would love a nanny who is up-to-date with current child development practices, ideally with Montessori training or experience. Knowledge of supporting early communication skills is highly valued. A teacher-like approach is preferred, someone confident in holding consistent boundaries and able to provide a secure, organised daily rhythm.

The nanny should enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, attending local playgroups and in future, supporting the children in classes such as football or tennis. Bringing structure through toy rotation, meal planning, and thoughtful organisation of the children's routines will be key. The nanny will play a central role in his early years education and socialisation.

A confident cook is required, able to prepare healthy, home-cooked meals. A driver is essential, and the nanny will have sole use of a car on days off, as well as a vehicle dedicated to their role during working hours.

This is a shared care position, with the nanny working alongside the parents, and there may be opportunities to travel with the family in the future.
