About the job Maternity Nurse - Battersea

Role: Maternity Nurse to naturally transition into Daily Nanny

Start Date: February 2026

Location: Battersea Power Station

Circa £350/24hours DOE

A lovely family in Battersea, close to Battersea Power Station, are preparing to welcome their first baby in February 2026, and they're looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their support system.

They're seeking a maternity nurse who can naturally transition into their daily nanny, supporting them throughout 12 months from February 2026 to early 2027. After this, the role may either wrap up or evolve depending on the family's plans to relocate out of London (likely to the Winchester area).

The position will start with overnight support in a maternity nurse capacity, gradually moving into daytime care (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 6 pm) as the family finds their rhythm. During the maternity nurse phase, you'll have your own bedroom with an ensuite. Once the role develops into a daily nanny position, it will become a live-out set-up. They're looking to find someone confident, reassuring, and able to gently steer these first-time parents.

Their home also includes two big, well-trained and very cuddly Dobermans. No pet care is required, but you'll need to be comfortable around larger dogs who are very much part of family life.

They're hoping to meet someone with excellent newborn experience, strong routine-setting skills, and a warm, supportive approach. An Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid, and newborn references are essential. Occasional babysitting may be requested.

Travel is a bonus - the family typically enjoy around three European trips a year (usually one to two weeks), but it's by no means a deal-breaker.

A driver isn't necessary. They're also planning to join Purple Dragon nearby, which their nanny will be welcome to enjoy during the role.
