About the job QA Engineer
PlayServ is building the infrastructure layer for modern multiplayer games. We help game studios launch, scale, and operate online games through backend services, dedicated server orchestration, LiveOps tooling, and developer-friendly integrations.
We're looking for a QA Engineer who can work across multiple fronts: test web interfaces, verify SDK integration on different platforms, and catch bugs where others miss them. If you know your way around Unity, WebGL, and browser clients - you'll find this role genuinely interesting. Small team, direct communication with no bureaucracy. One more thing that matters a lot to us: we expect AI (specifically Claude) to be used as a core tool for automating testing work - not as an occasional convenience, but as part of how the role is done day to day.
Responsibilities:
- Sanity testing before every release - a critical part of the process; releases don't ship without it
- Manual and automated testing of the admin panel: functionality, role-based access, CRUD operations, business logic
- Verifying correct SDK integration in projects: signals, callbacks, initialization, events
- Testing clients on Unity and WebGL platforms: rendering, events, network requests, in-browser behavior
- Cross-browser testing of web clients, API interaction checks, console errors, network traffic analysis
Writing test cases, checklists, and bug reports in Jira
Participating in requirements reviews and task decomposition
Smoke, regression, and exploratory testing before releases
Collaborating with developers to reproduce and document defects
Using AI agents (Claude) to automate test execution as a standard part of the workflow: for example, when a developer hands off a task to QA, you set up an agent to pull the branch, build it, run Playwright scenarios across all screens (including negative cases), collect screenshots, and produce a draft report - so your time goes into reviewing and verifying results rather than manually walking through every scree n. This isn't optional tooling on the side - it's expected to be your default approach to repetitive test coverage.- Stack and tools:
Playwright, Unity (testing), WebGL, REST API / Postman, Chrome DevTools, Jira, Git, JavaScript / TypeScript (basic), Charles / Fiddler, Qase / TestRail, Claude (Claude Code) as the primary AI tool for test automation
What Were Looking For:
5+ years of experience in web application testing
- Understanding of how SDKs work and client-server communication principles
Ability to read network requests and work with browser DevTools
- English - Intermediate or above: reading technical documentation, written communication with the team, participating in calls
- Practical intent to use AI (Claude) to automate testing tasks - not just familiarity with AI tools in general, but the mindset to reach for automation first: scripting repetitive scenarios, generating draft reports, building agent-driven test runs
Experience writing automated tests in Playwright is a plus
Basic understanding of Unity or WebGL is an advantage
- Self-driven, knows how to ask the right questions, disciplined about sanity checks before release
Why join us?
- Work on technology that powers modern multiplayer games
- Fully remote work environment
- Competitive compensation and the ability to make a meaningful impact on the company's growth
