About the Project

We are developing an unannounced melee-first PvPvE fantasy game focused on grounded combat, physical logic, and readable encounters.
The world avoids explicit magic systems — instead, the fantastical is implied through perception, materials, and use. Everything must feel worn, reused, and believable.

As a Character Concept Artist, you will help define how characters, factions, and enemies exist within these rules — visually clear, structurally sound, and ready for production.

Responsibilities

  • Design player characters, enemies, and faction archetypes
  • Develop strong silhouettes, proportions, and readable shapes
  • Define materials, construction logic, and wear based on world rules
  • Work within clear visual constraints and production requirements
  • Create concepts that translate cleanly into game-ready 3D assets
  • Iterate based on gameplay, readability, and technical feedback

Must Have

  • Proven experience as a Character Concept Artist for games
  • Strong understanding of structure, anatomy, and form
  • Ability to design grounded fantasy characters without relying on overt magic or ornamentation
  • Clear focus on silhouette, materials, and construction logic
  • Portfolio showing iteration, restraint, and production-minded design
  • Experience collaborating with 3D artists and designers
