We are building a story-driven, cinematic Adventure RPG released in episodic format with narrative depth. The project features unique gameplay mechanics and a spiral narrative structure.
About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Game Designer who will take ownership of the game design vision and be responsible for shaping the core gameplay experience.
This is a hands-on design role, focused on creating and maintaining clear, structured design documentation, defining systems, and ensuring a cohesive player experience across the project.What You Will Do
- Design core gameplay mechanics and define the overall player experience.
- Create and maintain game design documentation (GDDs, feature specs, system descriptions).
- Structure and document gameplay systems, progression, and player interactions.
- Design and describe interactive sequences, logic flows, and narrative-driven gameplay elements.
- Collaborate closely with the team (developers, artists, narrative designers) to ensure correct implementation of design.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Game Design / Systems Design.
- Proven ability to write clear and structured design documentation.
- Experience working on adventure, narrative, or RPG projects (or strong passion for the genre).
- Deep understanding of player experience, game systems, and progression design.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership.
- Strong communication skills and ability to align the team around design vision.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with interactive storytelling and nonlinear narrative structures.
- Understanding of RPG systems, dialogue systems, or progression mechanics.
- Basic familiarity with Unreal Engine or other game engines.
