Field Sales Executive (Motorcycle-Based) – 3 Vacancies
Locations: Thika, Ngong & Nexgen Mall
Reports To: Sales Manager Gross Salary: 55,000 – 60,000
Our client, a leading retailer in tiles, sanitary ware, taps, and building solutions, is seeking dynamic and customer-focused Field Sales Executives to join their growing sales team. The role involves travelling to construction sites and customer locations using a company-provided motorcycle to promote and sell a wide range of building and finishing products.
This is an excellent opportunity for energetic individuals who enjoy field sales, relationship building, and working within the construction and hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities
Visit construction sites and customer locations using a company motorcycle to promote and sell products.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities among contractors, developers, fundis, builders, and end users.
Present products using the company webstore on a provided tablet.
Explain product features, pricing, promotions, and availability to customers.
Generate leads, prepare quotations where required, and follow up to convert opportunities into sales.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned territory.
Coordinate with branch teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer support.
Conduct field sales activities 4 days per week and provide in-store sales support 2 days per week.
Maintain accurate daily records of customer visits, leads, sales activities, and market feedback.
Monitor competitor activity and identify customer trends within the market.
Ensure safe and responsible operation of the company motorcycle at all times.
Tools & Support Provided
The company will provide:
Advanced rider training.
A fully legal and functional motorcycle safety gear for motorcycle operation.
A tablet for product presentations and webstore access.
A motorcycle fitted with a tracking unit.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in sales, preferably in retail, field sales, construction materials, hardware, tiles, sanitaryware, or related industries.
Experience engaging contractors, developers, or construction site customers is an added advantage.
A valid motorcycle riding licence is preferred.
Experienced riders with strong customer service or sales potential may be considered and trained.
Basic knowledge of tiles, sanitaryware, taps, or building materials will be an added advantage.
Existing warehouse or sales staff interested in transitioning into sales may also be considered.

Working Conditions
Combination of field work and in-store responsibilities.
Field work conducted 4 days per week.
In-store support conducted 2 days per week.
Working hours
Weekdays: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturdays: 8:00am – 2:30pm
Selected public holidays: 8:30am – 2:30pm
Flexibility to work overtime and selected public holidays when required
Regular travel to construction sites and customer locations is required
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of customer and site visits completed.
Leads generated and converted into sales.
Monthly sales targets achieved.
Quality of customer relationships built.
Timeliness and accuracy of reporting.
Compliance with operational and safety procedures.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
Comfortable working in construction site environments.
Commitment to safe motorcycle operation Flexibility to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
