Sales Consultant – Webstore - Tiles and Bathroom Design

Location: Retail Store, Dar es Salaam (Kawe / Airport Branch)

Reporting to: Webstore Manager

Position Type: Full-time (Retail hours, including Saturdays and selected public holidays)

About the Client

Our client is one of the leading names in tiles and bathroom design, known for quality, innovation, and style.

Their Tanzania Webstore is growing fast, and we're looking for a driven Sales Consultant who enjoys fast-paced, digital sales. This is not a traditional retail role. You'll be engaging customers via phone and WhatsApp, helping them make confident buying decisions, and closing deals in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the customer journey from first enquiry to final sale
• Deliver excellent customer service by engaging customers via phone and WhatsApp and understanding their needs
• Recommend the right tile and bathroom products with confidence
• Drive sales through upselling, cross-selling, and closing deals
• Build strong relationships that lead to repeat business
• Support the online store with product updates and merchandising
• Work with the team to meet and exceed sales targets
• Ensure accurate order processing and smooth after-sales support

Requirements

You'll do well in this role if you:

• Are confident speaking to customers and closing sales
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Have a strong customer-first mindset
• Are organised and pay attention to detail
• Can handle multiple conversations and tasks at once
• Are comfortable using computers and digital systems
• Learn quickly and adapt to new tools and processes

Advantageous:

• Previous sales, retail, or customer service experience
• Knowledge of tile and bathroom products

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (or equivalent)
• Fluent in English and Swahili
• Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
