About the Client

Our client is an established language and training institute based in Nairobi, with branches across several of Kenya's major cities. The institute offers language courses and examination preparation to a diverse student body drawn from across East Africa, and is supported by a multinational team of instructors and staff.

Job Summary

The Graphic Designer will use colour, text, imagery, and symbols to support the institution's design process and make communications clear and accessible to all audiences. The role involves translating ideas into compelling visuals across print, digital, and social media platforms to strengthen the institution's brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop creative artwork for brochures, flyers, promotional materials, merchandise, and other branded items
• Maintain and develop the institution's visual brand identity consistently across print and digital platforms
• Create engaging graphics and layouts for social media, website updates, newsletters, and academic course materials
• Prepare print-ready materials and liaise with the Procurement Department and external service providers to ensure high-quality production of promotional and merchandise items
• Design eye-catching branded event materials, including banners, signage, backdrops, certificates, and official invitations
• Work closely with the communications team to promote upcoming events
• Manage and organize a library of design assets, templates, and brand resources

Requirements

1. Relevant certification in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related field, with proficiency in design software
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience
3. Strong artistic ability and a keen creative eye
4. A portfolio demonstrating creative work
