Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to join their retail team at the Mombasa Branch. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales, a passion for customer service, and the drive to perform in a fast-paced, retail environment. This role is customer-facing and requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Resolve customer queries, concerns, and returns promptly and effectively.
Sales Generation
- Promote and sell ceramic products to meet personal and store sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales value per transaction.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all ceramic products and offerings.
- Stay up to date with new arrivals, specifications, and applications.
- Educate and guide customers to make informed purchase decisions.
Merchandising & Display
- Ensure product displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with store standards.
- Assist with seasonal and promotional setups to enhance store aesthetics.
Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or fast-moving items.
- Participate in regular stock counts and help minimize losses or damages.
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with team members to achieve store goals.
- Provide support during peak hours, promotions, or team absences.
- Attend staff meetings, sales briefings, and training sessions.
Compliance & Store Standards
- Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in the store environment.
- Follow security and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a similar industry (tiles, ceramics, hardware, home improvement).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a solution-driven approach.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, target-driven retail setting.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.
