Gross Salary: KES 80,000 – 180,000 (based on language proficiency level)

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking to recruit qualified and passionate German Teachers to deliver in-person language instruction to adult learners across multiple locations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality lessons, tracking learner progress, and supporting students in achieving proficiency from beginner to intermediate levels.

The ideal candidate will possess strong German language skills, a solid teaching approach, and the ability to engage adult learners in a structured and results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

  • Deliver engaging, in-person German language lessons to adult learners
  • Teach across levels ranging from A1 to B2, based on qualification and proficiency
  • Develop structured lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles

Student Progress & Assessment

  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through continuous assessments
  • Provide timely feedback and support to enhance learner outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and progression

Classroom & Learning Management

  • Create a positive, interactive, and disciplined learning environment
  • Ensure consistency in lesson delivery and curriculum coverage
  • Support students in achieving language proficiency goals within set timelines

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified German language proficiency (minimum B2; C1 or C2 preferred)
  • Teaching background or experience in language instruction is highly desirable
  • Experience teaching adult learners will be an added advantage
  • Exposure to German-speaking environments or experience in Germany is a plus
  • Fluent speakers without formal teaching experience but willing to be trained are encouraged to apply

Working Hours

  • Full-time: 8 hours per day (Monday – Friday)

Compensation Structure (Based on Language Level)

Language Level/Monthly Salary (KES)/Requirement

B2;80,000 Proficiency + Teaching Background

C1;100,000 Proficiency + Teaching Background

C2;180,000 Proficiency + Teaching Background
