Salary: TZS 1,200,000
Job Summary:
Our client in the retail and home improvement industry is seeking An Online Sales Consultant to join their Webstore team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and assisting customers in selecting tile and bathroom products to meet their needs. This role involves proactive customer engagement via in-store, telephone, and WhatsApp, as well as supporting website product information and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Sales Growth:
- Greet, assist, and guide customers through the selection process for tile and bathroom products, ensuring their needs and preferences are fully understood.
- Actively engage with customers via phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and in-person consultations to drive sales conversions.
- Apply upselling and cross-selling strategies to maximize sales value.
- Maintain a customer database for follow-ups, new promotions, and after-sales service to encourage repeat business.
- Monitor and respond promptly to customer inquiries on online platforms, ensuring a professional and friendly tone.
Product Information & Merchandising:
- Regularly update product descriptions, images, and specifications on the website to ensure accuracy and attractiveness.
- Work with the merchandising team to create visually appealing in-store and online displays that align with promotions and seasonal trends.
- Ensure stock availability for advertised online products and update listings when stock changes occur.
Transaction Processing & After-Sales Support:
- Process orders accurately through the sales system, ensuring correct product details, pricing, and payment records.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely delivery of online orders.
- Handle product returns, exchanges, and customer complaints promptly, aiming for customer satisfaction and retention.
- Track online sales performance and share insights with the Webstore Manager for process improvement.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with store and online teams to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Participate in product training sessions to stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and product features.
- Share customer feedback with relevant departments to improve products, services, and the online shopping experience.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or retail (experience with tile and bathroom products is an advantage).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, positive attitude.
- High attention to detail with strong multitasking skills.
- Computer literate and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
- Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.
