- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform commercial decisions.
- Implement territory management strategies to maximize market coverage and sales effectiveness.
- Create a strong performance culture through coaching, mentorship, and continuous development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sellers, and key stakeholders.
- Provide regular sales forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience managing field sales operations, territory management, and distribution networks within Tanzania or East Africa.
- Experience building, scaling, or launching sales teams and market operations is highly desirable. Background in FMCG, telecommunications, fintech, retail, technology, or other high-growth commercial sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to execute effectively in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in both Swahili and English is essential.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to leadership and execution.
What We Offer:
- A rare opportunity to build and lead a commercial function from inception.
- Direct collaboration with executive leadership and influence on strategic business decisions.
- A fast-paced, innovative, and growth-oriented work environment.
- Strong career development opportunities within a rapidly expanding African technology business.
- Performance-driven culture that rewards initiative, innovation, and results.
