GENERAL MANAGER – BUSINESS OPERATIONS & SUBSIDIARY COORDINATION

Role Overview

The General Manager will take full ownership of business operations across the Kenya entity and its subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with group strategy while driving performance, efficiency, and sustainable growth. You will serve as the central coordination point across business units, ensuring seamless execution, strong governance, and consistent delivery of organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive market expansion and revenue growth, achieving a minimum of 15–20% year-on-year growth.
  • Lead initiatives to increase market share and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Oversee client relationship management, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Proactively resolve client concerns and mitigate complaints in alignment with senior leadership.
  • Ensure 100% client retention through service excellence and relationship stewardship.
  • Coordinate operations across subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with group strategy and performance targets.
  • Prepare and submit monthly operational reports to the Group Chairman, tracking progress against set goals.
  • Strengthen brand visibility and positioning across all communication channels.
  • Develop and maintain a Group-wide risk assessment and mitigation framework, presenting insights to the Board Finance Committee.
  • Execute strategic and special assignments as directed by the Board.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience, with a strong leadership track record
  • Demonstrated success in business growth, operations management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Recognized credibility within industry circles
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and execution capability
  • High integrity with no criminal record
