The Director of Accounts & Strategy will provide strategic consulting, expectations alignment, and develop and retain confidence in relationships with our clients. The Director will educate and drive key team members on the objectives and desired outcomes for our clients ensuring that team members understand the “why” and the “what” behind the engagement. This position manages a small department of Client Strategists and will oversee the growth and development 
of this department, including identifying opportunities to optimize our mix of services based on trends, data and demand.

The success of this position will be measured by overall client satisfaction, retention of clients, and through acquisition efforts. This position reports directly to the COO. Agency experience is preferred. 


Client Strategist Responsibilities 

-Lead a team of client strategists in establishing relationships with key client contacts to ensure client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over time. 
-Take the leadership role in discovering and articulating differentiating customer insights and translating them into strategic and creative platforms and mediums. 
-Develop and assist with executing marketing and advertising plans for clients including innovative campaign/creative ideas and digital/go-to-market strategies. 
-Oversee maintenance of existing accounts by developing strategies for retention and growth. 
-Participate and at times lead client acquisition activities including but not limited to identification and generation of new business opportunities, pitch participation, and presentations representing the firm to potential clients. 
-Work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the successful and innovative execution of approved strategies. 
-Coordinate with the creative and digital media teams to define and develop data driven solutions. 
-Provide and/or develop relevant content, brand or marketing strategies, as needed, in response to client needs or requests. 

People Management Responsibilities 

-Ensure all Client Strategists properly manage and support client expectations. 
-Organize ongoing and formal staff training programs within a team environment. 
-Create and implement evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines, and budgets in regard to the Client Strategy Team. 
-Act with a high degree of independence and hold responsibility for overall account team success. 


-Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of digital marketing and media experience or agency account management experience. 
-Strong knowledge of business and marketing principles and marketing trends. 
-Solid understanding of executive-level decision making and criteria. 
-Ability to translate business goals and objectives to marketing and experience strategies and tactics. 
-Strong working knowledge of integrated digital marketing principles including experience design, CRM, Marketing 
-Automation/Email Marketing, website development, Social and Content Marketing, and Paid Search (PPC/SEM) with the ability to set best practices and hold teams accountable. 
-Experience with in-depth analytics and problem solving with the ability to think strategically and be execution-oriented to drive a fully integrated digital marketing strategy. 
-Proven leadership ability, motivational skills, and enthusiasm. 
-Strong attention to detail and highly analytical. 
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
-Excellent and proven critical thinking skills to quickly evaluate issues, troubleshoot, and prioritize accordingly. 
-Confident presence, executive manner, comfortable with managing complexity and navigating ambiguity.
