Seeking an Associate Director, Social Media with a minimum of five years of experience. An ideal candidate will have a background working at a public relations agency, experience within the design category, as well as an entrepreneurial and team-oriented spirit and desire to grow with the company.


- Lead and grow the Social Media team and grow the business with prospective and existing clients

- Develop strategy for clients channels in the home/design and lifestyle categories; oversee brand awareness and online reputation management

- Oversee social media channels for a selection of clients, setting tone, content and cadence within brand parameters; channels to include Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and more

- Monitor SEO and user engagement to assess content optimization

- Manage social media presence at client events, including real-time monitoring and live content creation support

- Goal-setting, measurement and reporting of quantitative and qualitative results

- In tandem with the PR account team, identify and liaise with social media influencers, as well as like-minded brands, for partnership opportunities and cross-promotion on social media channels

- Develop and execute paid social media strategy for select clients, including management of budget accordingly

- Possess strong understanding of relevant channels for consumer and designer engagement and their role in content creation

- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively to integrate the PR account team on strategies and campaign execution

- Interface with clients daily as relevant to community management, social media opportunities and strategic advisement

- Create, curate and manage social media content, including copy, audio/visual assets

- Track social media campaigns KPIs to maximize results and report progress/key takeaways to clients

- Monitor social media trends, including developments in design, strategy and innovation as well as advertising formats to stay relevant and effective

- Planning and managing paid social campaigns - including an understanding of client goals, monitoring campaign quality, and consistently and proactively evaluating new opportunities to maximize performance


- B.S/B.A in Public Relations/Communications/Digital Marketing or related field

- Experience at a PR, advertising or digital agency preferred

- Strong background in social media and community management for a brand or multiple brands

- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing efforts, as well as how to integrate them with a PR strategy

- Exceptional interpersonal, networking and verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail

- Strong writing skills and a passion for social media

- Positive, can-do attitude

- Solution-oriented with the ability to think critically and strategically

- Knowledge of and ability to speak to relevant industry trends in the digital/social media space

- Proactive and collaborative with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

- Strong storytelling abilities and skilled in communicating and distilling down nuanced, complex strategic campaign concepts through logical and well thought out presentations

- Strong influencer marketing background in both driving brand goals and conversion goals

- Understanding of paid media principles, paid media planning fundamentals, and an understanding of marketing communication channels (including digital)

- A deep understanding of client businesses and how to connect and leverage social strategy and tactics to solve key client challenges

- Flexible, driven, curious and passionate about the design industry

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Fluency in 3rd-party social and digital measurement, visualization and content creation tools such as Google Analytics, Later, Iconosquare, Canva, Mojo, SproutSocial, HootSuite and more

- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices

- Knowledge of social measurement and management tools and understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

*Note, while this position is currently remote, we are looking for candidates who plan to be in NYC or LA long term or willing to travel if/as needed.
