Seeking an Account Director to lead and manage the Social Media & Influencer Marketing department overseeing the planning and execution of successful social media and influencer campaigns. The position requires a minimum of six years experience at an agency or similar company. Someone in this role must be highly motivated, have a professional manner, a sharp attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and collaborate with team members, provide mentorship, and oversee junior team members, and demonstrate an ability to manage accounts with minimal supervision. Candidate can be in New York or Los Angeles area. Position will start as work from home until we return to an office. There may be times that after-hours support may be needed for virtual, in-market and sometimes on-site at various locations (some travel may be involved).

Day-to-day activities include:

  • Set clear objectives for campaigns considering traffic, brand awareness, customer retention, and online reputation, as a starting point.
  • Social Media: Work alongside the clients internal team, agency, or/and our PR team to define and manage the social strategy that builds brand awareness and engagement, boosts reputation, and creates a clear and distinct voice and presence for our clients.
  • Influencer Marketing: Work with clients to define the right approach for influencers to meet set objectives. Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place.
  • Influencer Management: Work with influencer clients to assist with guiding talent in navigating paid posts (sponsored content) and/or brand deals.
  • Effectively manage client campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, to a high standard, and communicating with social influencers and platform partners.
  • You will own all aspects of social presence and communication across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
  • Analyze the end of campaign performance, coming back to the campaign objectives and business goals, and identifying successes and areas for improvement. Ultimately, you should be able to increase brand awareness and audience engagement across a range of social platforms, and be able to report on the effectiveness of your activity.
  • You should also have a creative way of thinking, brand understanding, and be comfortable presenting ideas and results to both clients and internal teams.
  • Develop new business opportunities by Identifying areas for improvement and ideas for new activity and be able to present these in a compelling way to senior stakeholders

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to deliver creative content ideas and to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and channels.
  • Self-motivated individual who is responsive and able to be productive and results-driven in a work from home environment.
  • Be a proactive and creative thinker.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
