Leading NYC based agency is looking for an ambitious Account Director to join their rapidly growing Automotive Account team. The Account Director will help develop client strategy, manage staff to drive an overall work plan, lead day-to-day client relations, conceptualize pitches and media placements, and play an active role in business development. This role is remote.


Experience in Lifestyle/Welllness; beauty/med spa; automotive technoloogy or B2B thought leadership is preferred.

  
As an Account Director, you will: 
 • Drive large-scale strategic planning and execution efforts with  multiple client leads across dozens of product launches, product  reviews, trade shows, press conferences, feature stories, executive  bylines, measurement/reporting needs and more

 • Drive high-touch daily client communications with the same client leads, juggling competing priorities

 • Partner closely with agency leads to develop robust strategy  plans, reports, updates, and other presentation materials for the broader client team 
 • Supervise the work of 2-4 junior staff (in addition to interns)  at any given time, keeping a very close eye on quality control and ensuring client deliverables are smart, thoughtful, on-time and error-free 
 • Work closely with our VP on overall account management and capacity planning, ensuring client objectives are being regularly met, our work is being completed effectively and the team is being run efficiently 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE 
 • Has 5-6 years of experience in an agency setting

 • Can conceptualize, develop and produce client plans and client  recommendations that will be shared with the client, executives, and  partners

• Internalizes client and staff input to deliver initial strategies  on their own, further honing and developing client plans based on edits and guidance from senior members of the team

• Has a proven track record of leading smart, proactive, and thoughtful client communications - in person, on the phone, and over email 
 • At least 2-3 years of demonstrated staff management experience 

 • Can lead and actively participate in the development of strategic  research to inform client strategies and roadmap a media approach 
 • Has a strong news savvy and knowledge of the media covering the automotive industry and innovation

 • Has a strong track record handling multiple assignment at once, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
 • Flexibility and eagerness to travel for the job
