Accountant (Hybrid - JHB / CPT)

Position: Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our growing team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the company's financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

• Ensure compliance with all accounting principles and regulations

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures

• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial records

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes

• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
