Join GCO, a people-first organisation that connects Africas top professionals with world-class clients. We are looking for a detail-obsessed, technically sharp accountant to work on a diverse portfolio of UK-based clients, ranging from creative agencies to complex manufacturing groups.

You will step into a high-impact role supporting a UK firm with a legacy of excellence. You will need to bring strong technical ability and confidence in your craft. 

What Youll Do

• Prepare and finalise sets of accounts across a range of client types, including investment-heavy and manufacturing businesses
• Work independently from raw trial balances and client inputs to deliver fully reconciled financials
• Interpret varied cash flows, asset portfolios, and business structures
• Contribute insights into accounting treatments and best practice
• Collaborate with existing team members in the UK and South Africa, including a GCO-based finance lead

What Youll Bring

• Ideal candidate would have UK experience. 

• Exceptional technical accounting skills, either qualified (e.g. SAIPA, ACCA, SAICA) or an experienced practitioner known for your depth

• Comfort working across industries (manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential)

• Ability to work independently and own deliverables from start to finish

• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to accuracy

• Experience using IRIS software is a significant advantage

• Johannesburg-based candidates are preferred as the local lead is based there
