Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst contractor to join our team and help us address a critical backlog of policy and security program metrics. The ideal candidate will possess a unique skill set, including the ability to source and extract data from diverse sources, perform data cleansing and preparation, analyze data, create compelling data visualizations, and build dashboards and reports. In addition to technical proficiency, the candidate should demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Sourcing and Extraction: Source and extract data from a variety of disparate sources, including but not limited to Intune, Audit log reports, Active Directory, Service Now, One Trust, CourseMill, SharePoint site activity, Social Chorus, Knowbe4, and Cofense.
2. Data Cleansing and Preparation:Cleanse and prepare data for analysis, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
3. Data Analysis and Exploration: Analyze data to identify key insights, trends, and patterns related to policy compliance, governance, and security program metrics.
4.Data Visualizations: Create engaging and informative data visualizations to present data-driven insights effectively.
5. Dashboard and Report Creation: Build dashboards and reports, including executive-level dashboards, to communicate policy and security program metrics to key stakeholders.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements, and work on enhancing existing policy metrics.
7. Problem Solving: Address challenges related to sourcing and gaining access to data, especially from systems with historical data limitations.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in data warehousing and Power BI.
- Data Proficiency: Ability to source and extract data from various sources and perform data cleansing and preparation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and exploration skills, including the ability to identify trends and insights.
- Visualization Skills: Proficiency in creating data visualizations and dashboards.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and solve complex data-related problems.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages, specifically SQL, Python, and R.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of policy compliance, governance, and security program metrics is a plus.
