Data Engineer

Gentis Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. This contract-to-hire position is with one of our Fortune 50 clients interested in full-time flex/remote consultants. The ideal candidates will have the required skills listed below and will be eligible and open to being hired by our client at the end of the project's duration. Requirements

• Data engineering, analytics, and data modeling experience
• Python, Spark, Databricks, Azure, Power BI
• Experience in retail merchandising analytics is a must

Typical Duties

• Assess the as-is landscape and design the to-be architecture
• Understand the use cases, refine user stories, update sprint backlogs, and plan sprints
• Gather requirements for the MX platform from Client's subject matter experts
• Define source to target data mapping and identify transformation needs
• Architect, design, and develop data ingestion pipelines for the MX platform
• Validate data and tables, and automate jobs using Azure-based orchestration
• Develop a strategy for parallel runs and validate migrated data
• Work on Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Analytics tasks as a team
• Provide support for the apps deployed into production
