Gentis Solutions is seeking a Bi-Lingual HR Generalist to join our team. This contract position is with one of our clients interested in full-time consultants.   • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years experience working in Human Resource function
  • A minimum of three years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills in English and Spanish
  • Successfully relates to and works with a diverse workforce in a varity of positions including senior leaders, location leaders, and hourly colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Typical Duties

  • Assist leadership team with coaching and/or discipline discussions for Spanish-only speaking colleagues
  • Spend time in the plant connecting will ALL colleagues and being a resource for Spanish-only speaking colleagues to bring their concerns to plant management
  • Annual benefits: Hold benefits meetings with Spanish-speaking colleagues / translating during these meetings
  • Translate Monthly Safety and Food Safety training to ensure the message is understood and colleagues can ask questions
  • Identify documents (safety, quality, training, etc) that need to be translated to Spanish and leverage available 3rd part resources to do the translations
  • Ensure confidentiality in all matters
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety training and certification requirements
  • Support on-boarding, including assisting with phone calls to schedule interviews and help Spanish-speaking only move through onboarding activities
  • Participate in job interviews, especially for Spanish-only speaking colleagues
  • Active role in the on-site onboarding experience for Spanish-speaking colleagues, including assisting them with things like signing up for benefits
  • Assist with other onboarding training/translation
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned
