API/SOA Tester

Gentis Solutions is seeking an API/SOA Tester to join our team. This contract-to-hire position is with one of our Fortune 50 clients interested in full-time flex/remote consultants. The ideal candidates will have the required skills listed below and will be eligible and open to being hired by our client at the end of the project's duration. This position works alongside an existing team and leverages enterprise-level technologies and processes. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing API automation tests in Java and restAssured
• 5+ years of experience with test runners (Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine)
• 5+ years of experience with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab)
• 5+ years of experience testing web services (manual or automation)
• 5+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum methodology
• 5+ years of using Jira for defect tracking
• Very strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong experience leading the automation of regression test suites
• QA Lead experience on most recent project
• restAssured being utilized in the current/most recent project

Desirable Skills

• Prefer Agile be utilized in the current/most recent project
• Prefer experience in the SAFe Agile approach
• Prefer working knowledge of Selenium WDIO
• Prefer understanding or experience validating Json/XML responses from web services

Typical Duties

• Serve as a Test Automation Hands-on resource on one of our leading development initiatives, supporting teams with test automation for web, mobile, and API applications and CI/CD
• Focused on leveraging tools and frameworks supported by the QA CoE to foster faster testing cycles as well as strengthen test coverage
