Job Overview

We are hiring a Business Development & Outreach Specialist to identify opportunities, craft winning proposals, and secure projects primarily through Upwork.
This is a results-oriented role that requires autonomy, strong written communication skills, and a clear understanding of how the Upwork platform works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Upwork daily for job postings that match client ICPs and service offerings
  • Write and submit personalized, high-impact proposals tailored to each job
  • Research prospect companies, contacts, and LinkedIn profiles to strengthen outreach
  • Execute LinkedIn and email follow-ups to nurture warm leads

  • Qualify inbound leads, schedule discovery calls, and hand off to client teams
  • Track outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline status in reporting tools
  • Maintain professionalism and consistency in all communications

  • Refine lead generation strategies based on performance data and insights

Requirements

  • 6 months – 2 years of experience in lead generation, sales outreach, or client acquisition
  • Hands-on experience with Upwork and understanding of the bidding ecosystem
  • Strong written English with ability to craft compelling, personalized proposals
  • Comfortable using CRM tools to track pipelines and report performance

  • Strong research skills to qualify leads and gather prospect information

  • Self-starter who can manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
