Salary / Stipend: Monthly stipend as per firm policy

Position Overview

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associates to join our Tax Department for their Articleship or Internship program. This role is designed for fresh graduates or students pursuing professional qualifications who wish to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, advisory, and regulatory matters.
The position offers comprehensive training and exposure to practical aspects of taxation under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (individuals, AOPs, companies)

  • Draft and file Wealth Statements and reconciliations

  • Prepare and e-file monthly Sales Tax Returns for FBR and PRA

  • Maintain client records and documentation for tax assignments

  • Learn and assist in SECP annual and periodic filings

  • Prepare withholding tax statements and reconciliations

  • Respond to basic tax notices and gather information for audits

  • Coordinate with clients to obtain required data and documents

  • Conduct research related to tax laws, SROs, and circulars

  • Maintain compliance calendars and track filing deadlines

  • Participate in internal training sessions to develop technical knowledge

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 & Sales Tax Act, 1990

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Willingness to learn tax software and online filing portals (IRIS, PRA, SECP e-services)
