Release Planning & Coordination
- Manage and maintain the central release calendar across the IT portfolio.
- Align release planning with development, testing, operations, and business teams.
- Coordinate release scope and content based on change requests, project plans, and business priorities
Process & Execution
- Develop and maintain standard release processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone validations, and Go/No-Go approvals.
- Support CI/CD process improvements, automation initiatives, and deployment governance.
- Ensure integration of release activities with Change Management processes and compliance controls.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate release plans, timelines, risks, and progress reports to business and IT leadership.
- Provide visibility on dependencies, resource requirements, conflicts, and impacts.
- Act as a liaison between development, operations, QA, and business teams.
Risk & Quality
- Identify and mitigate release-related risks, dependencies, and conflicts.
- Ensure releases comply with internal policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform post-release reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Release Management or relevant IT disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with release automation and version control (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Working understanding of ITIL Release & Change Management.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and delivery accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ablity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Effective team collaboration and proactive communication.
- Strong documentation, planning, and reporting skills
Preferred
- Certifications: ITIL, PMP, Agile/Scrum.
- Experience in cloud platform environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in enterprise-scale systems with multiple development streams and integration layers.
