Architect – VMware

• Define enterprise storage standards and reference architectures across on-premise and cloud environments
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) storage architectures
• Lead large-scale infrastructure transformation programs and cloud storage adoption initiatives
• Drive storage modernization including NVMe, software-defined storage, and object storage solutions
• Manage capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning initiatives
• Define and implement automation and self-service models using frameworks and APIs
• Own vendor evaluation, selection, and technology roadmap planning
• Ensure storage platforms meet security, compliance, and audit requirements
• Provide program-level leadership and engage key stakeholders across business and IT teams
• Guide best practices for operational excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 9–15+ years of experience in enterprise storage and VMware-based infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise in enterprise storage architecture and design
• Proven experience with hybrid and cloud storage platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Hands-on experience with software-defined storage technologies such as Ceph and VMware vSAN
• Strong understanding of HA/DR architectures and resiliency models
• Experience with automation frameworks, orchestration tools, and API-driven infrastructure
• Knowledge of security standards, compliance frameworks, and audit readiness
• Experience with FinOps practices and cost optimization strategies
• Strong stakeholder management and program leadership skills
• Ability to lead modernization and transformation initiatives at enterprise scale
