Compliance Framework & Governance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance and data protection policies.
  • Monitor changes in data protection and privacy laws, updating internal procedures where necessary.
  • Ensure alignment with applicable regulations including GDPR and security compliance standards.
  • Support the implementation of data protection strategies and internal controls.

Audit, Investigations & Risk

  • Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments to identify risks or gaps.
  • Investigate compliance breaches, incidents, and non-conformities.
  • Recommend remediation and ensure corrective action plans are implemented.
  • Maintain documentation and records relating to data protection compliance.

Advisory Support & Culture

  • Provide guidance, interpretation and advisory support on compliance, privacy and data protection obligations.
  • Support departments with data handling, processing requirements and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of ethical behaviour, data privacy responsibility, and regulatory awareness.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare compliance reports for leadership, governance committees, and regulators.
  • Maintain registers of incidents, DPIAs, and governance reports.
  • Create presentations and summaries on policy, audit findings, and regulatory updates.

Training & Awareness

  • Develop and deliver compliance and data protection training programmes.
  • Educate staff on legal obligations, privacy risks and safe data handling.
  • Support awareness initiatives and learning materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration, Law, or Compliance.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in compliance, data protection, legal or regulatory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regulatory frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Experience within the IT or technology industry.
  • Experience working with security, audit, governance or risk functions.
  • CCP or similar compliance certification.
