Lead Database Engineer - SQL

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through log analysis, debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Perform data validation, correction, and recovery tasks using SQL queries and scripts
• Develop and maintain backend services within the Node.js ecosystem
• Monitor application performance and ensure system stability
• Write scripts and utilities for data processing and issue resolution
• Collaborate with development and support teams to investigate and fix application issues
• Support database management activities, particularly with PostgreSQL and SQLite
• Assist with minor frontend bug fixes when required
• Maintain clear technical documentation and incident reports

Requirements

• Strong SQL expertise, preferably PostgreSQL, especially for data validation and recovery tasks
• Solid backend development experience within the Node.js ecosystem
• Strong experience in production support and incident handling, including log analysis, data fixes, and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Hands-on experience writing scripts and performing data correction tasks
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or SQLite databases
• Familiarity with scripting for data processing and automation tasks
• Exposure to Node.js frameworks such as Express or NestJS
• Experience with ORM tools such as Sequelize
• Basic frontend knowledge in React or Ember for minor bug fixes
• Strong hands-on senior backend engineer rather than a pure architect or people manager
• Comfortable handling production environments, live issues, and data-related troubleshooting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
