About the Product Team

The Product team at GigXR is responsible for the research, definition, launch and support of all GigXR products and services. The products we create span:


  • Our developer program powered by our SDK

  • Our dashboard – called the Gig Management System (GMS) that enables customers to manage the applications they use on our platform to our GMS web interface

  • The mobile applications that enable iOS and Android devices to experience our holograms

  • Our mixed reality applications that run on the Microsoft Hololens.


As a member of our team, you’ll be collaborating across multiple teams, and working to solve problems across multiple devices, technologies, platforms and mediums. We love big visions, and solving big problems.

About the Product Manager Role

Our product manager reports to our SVP of Product Management and is responsible for understanding customer needs, conducting research, gathering product requirements, partnering with design to conceptualize solutions, discussing scope and edge cases with the engineering team, analyzing product performance metrics, and bringing products to market.

You will work with our QA, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to ensure the product aligns with business objectives and exceeds customer expectations.

What You Will Do:


  • Collaborate with the product team to define product vision, requirements and roadmap.

  • Scope and prioritize tasks and activities based on business goals and customer impact.

  • Articulate a clear vision for new product features and generate consensus within the organization.

  • Advocate for users and customers when making product and business decisions.

  • Manage remote engineering and operations teams, and ensure alignment of partner requests, internal roadmap items, and short-term goals.

  • Groom roadmaps, help define realistic goals and timeframes, schedule work, and manage projects through to completion.

  • Drive execution against plan, anticipating risk, and leading discussion via frequent, clear communication.

  • Prioritize and collaboratively design new features for a variety of developer personas, use-cases, and business innovations.

  • Work with QA engineers to create test plans and ensure effective communication between the developers and the QA.

  • Integrate market and usability research into product requirements and roadmap.

  • Create UI design wireframes, mockups and assist with finalizing designs across desktop, mobile and XR headsets.

  • Contribute to the development of the UX flow of new features by understanding business and product requirements.

  • Lead the outreach to bring other XR development companies to the platform and grow the GigXR training offering.

  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that the products are meeting the learning needs and outcomes.

  • Manage the production of volumetric content from pre-to post-production.



Skills and Experience You May Have:


  • 4+ years of product management, or directly applicable experience

  • Ability to conduct research

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in close collaboration with people across the organization.

  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Understanding of UX design concepts and the ability to translate requirements into wireframes.

  • Experience bringing products to market

  • Gathering data from multiple sources and analyzing it to inform product decisions.

  • Writing clear and concise product requirements

  • Using tools such as ClickUp, JIRA, Adobe XD, Figma, Unity



Backgrounds that might be great for this Role:


  • You may have formerly been an engineer / software developer.

  • You may have been a UI/UX designer.

  • You have been a project manager managing complex software development contracts.

  • You may have experience or demonstrable expertise in AR/VR/MR, STEM fields, healthcare and/or technical training.


About Your First 90 Days

This is what you can expect in your first 90 days with GigXR:

30 Days:


  • Become an experienced user of all of GigXR’s applications

  • Understand the entire backlog of our existing applications

  • Take over core features of products about to launch

  • Participate in multi-participant QA sessions


60 Days:


  • Groom backlogs and task developers appropriately

  • Work with the QA team on the testing of new apps and features

  • Triage and prioritize reported bugs


90 Days


  • Take the reigns and run with a product

  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various areas of the business

  • Become an expert that the team can look up to for direction on feature development
