About Our Client

Our client is a leading Oil and Gas Company with operations globally.

Purpose

Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all electrical current generation equipment, or for the electrical component of all equipment in the Unit, including switching operations.

Job Description

  • Regularly inspect the electrical installation of the Unit.
  • Ensures the maintenance of all electrical equipment in the Unit.
  • Keeps the Electricity and Instrumentation Supervisor informed about ongoing activities and any anomalies.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure appropriate response to electrical problems.
  • Inspects equipment in use by subcontractors at the Unit and maintains records.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance of the Unit's emergency electrical systems in accordance with the established intervention plan, tests equipment to ensure that it responds efficiently if necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with the Organization's procedures whenever its activity involves the dismantling of equipment or systems, makes an assessment of the situation, checks the availability of resources and tools, identifies potential risks arising from the activity, follows the Isolation procedures, performs the activity with the least possible impact on the operation of other equipment/systems and with maximum economy and efficiency in the use of resources.
  • Executes the maintenance plan in accordance with the Organization's procedures and ensures that activities are recorded and duly updated.
  • Participates in the implementation of the Organization`s Permit to Work System and supports its implementation, following instructions and procedures, carrying out a correct Risk Assessment and Isolation Standards.
  • Participates in the prevention of accidents in the environment, property, people and the environment, following the procedures in response to emergency situations, respecting the different roles and responsibilities of each individual in these situations.

Education

  • High school technical-professional training in electricity or a Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years

Technical skills

  • Computer skills from the user's perspective (Word, Excel, Outlook), AMOS application. Fluency in the English language. Compex, HV/LV Switching, CEP, AEP
