GK International is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join our engineering team in Yantai, China. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in pipeline design, especially within FPSO and FLNG projects, who are ready to contribute to high-impact global energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute detailed pipeline designs using AutoCAD, Navisworks, P3D, and PIPENET
  • Support full lifecycle design from P&ID development to material take-offs and equipment specs
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure coordinated hull and module pipeline design
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure full compliance with DNV, ABS, SOLAS, and other relevant standards
  • Prepare bilingual (English and Chinese) specifications for piping equipment and materials
  • Engage in the full-cycle management process for technical and material control
  • Analyze pipeline fluid dynamics and ensure design optimization using industry tools
  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, to coordinate with global teams and stakeholders
  • Interface with procurement, production, and fabrication teams to ensure alignment across all project phases
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian regulatory frameworks and other international standards as applicable

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Marine Engineering, Ship Power Plant, or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience in pipeline detailed design, including 5+ years in FPSO/FLNG hull and module design
  • Proficient in:
    • AutoCAD, Navisworks, Office, P3D
    • PIPENET (pipeline fluid analysis)
    • Familiarity with SPID is an advantage
  • Expert understanding of DNV, ABS, SOLAS, offshore platform design standards, and Brazilian regulations
  • Able to independently manage full pipeline design process, including P&ID, spec writing, and material control
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are a plus
  • Experienced in collaborating across parallel disciplines and achieving consensus in multi-functional design teams
  • Prior experience in upstream/downstream oil & gas processes is highly preferred
