Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 (DOE)
Working pattern: 4 days per week
Weekends: 1 in 4

The Role

As Head Veterinary Nurse, you'll set the tone for the nursing team — clinically, professionally, and culturally. You'll still be hands-on where it matters, but with the authority to organise rotas, develop people, and raise standards across the practice.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys responsibility and wants their experience to genuinely count.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursing team

  • Overseeing clinical standards, workflows, and patient care

  • Managing nurse rotas and supporting fair workload distribution

  • Supporting vets with theatre, inpatient care, and consults

  • Driving training, development, and best practice

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS)

  • Previous senior or leadership experience (or ready for the step up)
