Veterinary Surgeon

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Chesterfield. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on delivering high-quality veterinary care.

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Employment Type: Full or Part-time (Flexible working patterns available)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough consultations and examinations of animals to diagnose conditions.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Provide emergency treatment and care to patients as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other veterinary professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and overall health management.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
• Previous experience in a veterinary practice is essential.
• Strong surgical skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
