Locum Veterinary Surgeon

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Blackburn from 11th November 2024 to 3rd February 2025. This role offers a 4-day work week with shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Accommodation is available for those needing it, making this an excellent opportunity for locum vets from outside the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform consultations, diagnoses, and treatments for a wide range of small animal cases.
• Carry out routine and emergency surgeries as required.
• Provide excellent communication and compassionate care to clients and their pets.
• Work closely with the veterinary team to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Experience in both small animal medicine and surgery.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
