Locum Veterinary Surgeon

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Radlett. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic practice, delivering high-quality veterinary care to our diverse clientele.

Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire
Start Date: December 2024
Duration: Ongoing
Shifts: Full-time, Monday Friday (4-5 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct consultations and examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures and treatments.
• Provide emergency care and stabilize critical patients as needed.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other veterinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
• Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Uphold the highest standards of veterinary care and practice within the facility.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
• Previous experience in a veterinary practice is essential.
• Strong surgical skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work full-time shifts, with the option of 4-5 days per week.
