Locum Veterinary Surgeon

As a Locum Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for delivering excellent veterinary care in a dynamic and welcoming practice. You will handle a mix of operations and consultations, with opportunities to work both collaboratively with the team and independently during sole charge shifts.

Employment Type: Locum (January 2025 Ongoing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine surgeries and medical procedures.
• Carry out consultations, diagnosing and treating a range of conditions.
• Work independently during sole charge shifts (two afternoons a week).
• Maintain clear and detailed patient records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide advice on pet health and well-being.

Working Hours:

• 4 days a week.
• Shifts: 9am - 6:30pm.
• No out-of-hours (OOH), no Sundays, and no bank holidays.

Requirements:

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experience in handling both consultations and surgeries.
• Confidence in working independently during sole charge shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to client care.
