Veterinary Surgeon

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Basildon. Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £46,988 - £61,069 per annum (including allowances)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough consultations, diagnosis, and treatment of animal patients.
• Carry out a range of surgical procedures, from routine operations to emergency care.
• Monitor the progress and recovery of patients, providing the highest standard of veterinary care.
• Work closely with the veterinary nursing team and support staff to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance and advice on animal health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Contribute to the positive culture and team environment within the practice.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
• Prior experience in a veterinary practice is preferred.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills, with the ability to handle a diverse caseload.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering excellent patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently.
• Willingness to work flexibly, with options for shift variation.
