About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established veterinary practice in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing and supportive team. As the Lead Vet, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the practice while providing high-quality care to our patients.

Location: South London

Hours: 40 hours per week (4 days)

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals.
  • Oversee the clinical care and treatment plans for a range of animals.
  • Perform consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries.
  • Ensure excellent communication with clients, addressing their concerns and offering professional advice.
  • Collaborate with the Head Nurse and support staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Contribute to the development and training of the team.

Key Requirements:

  • A qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an active RCVS membership.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team.
  • Passion for providing high-quality veterinary care.
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively and work well under pressure.

What We Offer:

  • £60,000 - £75,000 per year, based on experience.
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.

  • VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid.

About the Practice:

The practice is equipped with two spacious consult rooms, a theatre, and a prep room. We are recruiting for a second vet as part of our exciting expansion. The practice has a bright and welcoming reception area, making it a great place for both staff and clients.
