Locum Veterinary Surgeon

As a Locum Veterinary Surgeon, you will work a mix of routine consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. You will be part of a shared weekend rota with inpatient on-call duties overnight. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet looking for flexible locum work in a friendly and professional environment.

Hours: 8.5-hour shifts (including an hour for lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality veterinary care, including consultations, surgeries, and inpatient treatment.
• Work independently and confidently in both surgical and medical cases.
• Share weekend rota responsibilities, including inpatient care and occasional on-call duties overnight.
• Maintain accurate patient records and deliver clear communication with clients.

Working Hours:

• 8.5-hour shifts with an hour for lunch.
• Shifts range between 8 AM 7 PM.
• Shared weekend rota with on-call responsibilities for inpatients overnight.

Requirements:

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Proven experience in consultations, surgery, and inpatient care.
• Confidence in managing cases independently, including overnight inpatients.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client care.
