Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE)
Hours: Ideally full-time, with flexibility to agree a pattern that works for everyone
Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturdays (limited cover to keep it fair)
OOH: None
Sole charge: Some required

The Role

You'll be joining a well-run first-opinion practice with a supportive team and realistic expectations. The caseload is sensible, consult times are manageable, and theres trust in your clinical judgement.

There is an element of sole charge, making this a good fit for a vet who enjoys autonomy — but without the pressure of nights or out-of-hours responsibility.

What Youll Be Doing

  • First-opinion consultations and routine surgery

  • Managing medical cases with confidence and care

  • Taking sole charge when required

  • Working collaboratively with RVNs and support staff

  • Building long-term relationships with clients

  • Maintaining strong clinical and professional standards

What Were Looking For

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Comfortable with some sole charge

  • Calm, capable, and clinically confident

  • Someone who values flexibility and balance alongside good medicine
