About the job Night Veterinary Surgeon – Warwickshire

Big responsibility. Proper recovery time. Real clinical satisfaction.

If nights are your thing — or you're ready to escape the grind of messy rotas and constant compromises — this role gets it right. Serious clinical work, a calm hand on emergencies, and two full weeks off after every block. That's not a perk. That's sanity.

Location: Warwickshire
Rota: 7 nights on / 14 nights off
Salary: Up to £52,000 (pro-rated for this rota)

The Role

You'll be the Night Veterinary Surgeon, handling out-of-hours care with confidence and autonomy. This is a focused, professional night service — not chaos, not firefighting without support.

You'll manage emergencies, inpatients, and urgent cases, backed by proper facilities and systems that actually work when the lights are low.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering emergency and critical care overnight

  • Managing hospitalised inpatients and stabilising urgent cases

  • Making confident clinical decisions independently

  • Clear handovers to the day team

  • Maintaining excellent clinical and professional standards

What Were Looking For

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Confident in emergency and out-of-hours work

  • Calm under pressure, decisive when it matters

  • Someone who values recovery time as much as clinical excellence

Why This Role Stands Out

  • 7 on / 14 off — real rest, real balance

  • Competitive pro-rated salary up to £52,000

  • Structured, supported night role (not being thrown to the wolves)

  • Ideal for vets who want focused work without burning out
