Position: Sales Manager (Retail)

Compensation: $70,000 $120,000 annually + Commission
Probation: 4 months

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Retail Sales Lighting Manager with strong B2B retail sales experience. This role focuses on managing and expanding relationships with major U.S. retailers, developing new business opportunities, and leading initiatives that drive revenue growth in the lighting category.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales Growth

  • Manage and expand B2B retail accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, displays, and terms directly with buyers and merchants.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new retail channels (big box, club stores, discount retailers, regional chains).
  • Lead promotional and seasonal programs to grow sales volume.

Merchandising & Category Leadership

  • Partner with retailers on planograms, displays, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure strong product visibility both in-store and online.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with product, operations, logistics, and marketing teams to align solutions and ensure timely delivery.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor account performance, forecast sales, manage budgets, and report results to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B retail sales experience in lighting, electrical, or home improvement categories.
  • Strong retail network, preferably with existing buyer/merchant connections in the lighting industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing key accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, expand market share, and travel domestically in the U.S.
