Our client is a leader in developing, manufacturing and selling precision electronic parts in the consumer electronics industry, driving innovation in automation, sustainable mobility, and next-generation technologies. The company is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Business Development Manager to expand their presence in the robotics and electric vehicle (EV) markets.
Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for establishing, growing and managing strategic partnerships in humanoid-robotics and EV sectors. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or robotics engineering and paired with proven experience in business development or technical sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in robotics automation and EV technology markets.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and contracts for potential clients and partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Cross-border coordination and collaboration with Chinese and U.S. engineering teams.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
Provide feedback to R&D teams for product development and improvements.
Report directly to the President of the company.
Qualifications:
Relevant background in engineering, robotics, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or product management within robotics, EV, or related industries.
Strong understanding of robotics systems, artificial nervous systems, new energy vehicles, electric drivetrain, battery technologies, manufacturing process and automation platforms.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Able to capture customer intelligence and clearly represent company’s technical capabilities to potential customers.
Strong executive communication, account planning, and data-driven decision making. Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals.
Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is preferred.
Mandarin Chinese proficiency required for regular reporting and collaboration with China engineering teams.
Acute responsiveness across time zones, able to coordinate meetings and introductions with China-based leadership despite time differences.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. for now and in the future (requires no sponsorship).
