Ontology Expert

Title: Ontology Expert (Healthcare | Remote)

We're looking for a highly skilled Ontology Expert to join a leading healthcare organization and play a key role in building next-generation AI-powered healthcare solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and manage healthcare ontologies and semantic frameworks
Create structured vocabularies, taxonomies, and relationships for AI use cases
Enable clinical intelligence, decision support, and AI-driven workflows
Collaborate with clinicians, AI engineers, and data scientists
Maintain ontology lifecycle, governance, and semantic consistency

Core Expertise Required:
5+ years in ontology engineering / semantic modeling
Hands-on with OWL, RDF, SPARQL, and knowledge graphs
Experience with healthcare terminologies (SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC, RxNorm)
Exposure to FHIR / HL7 and healthcare data ecosystems
Understanding of AI/ML or GenAI (LLMs, RAG, etc.)

Tools & Technologies:
Protégé, TopBraid, Stardog
Knowledge graph platforms & reasoning engines
Python or scripting (nice to have)

Nice to Have:
Clinical / biomedical informatics background
Experience with AI-driven healthcare platforms
Knowledge of semantic search & explainable AI
