Role Summary

The Art Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and creative output of the agency’s work. They are responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing high-impact visual campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring they align with client objectives and the agency’s creative standards.

This position requires a balance of strategic thinking, strong design expertise, and leadership skills to guide a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals toward delivering innovative and visually compelling work.


Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

  • Develop original, innovative visual concepts for advertising campaigns, ensuring they resonate with the target audience and client objectives.

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and concept development in collaboration with copywriters, designers, and creative strategists.

  • Ensure all creative outputs maintain brand consistency and adhere to client guidelines.

  • Present creative ideas and campaign visuals to internal teams and clients confidently and persuasively.

  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior designers and creative team members, fostering their growth and development.


Project Management

  • Oversee the visual direction of projects from concept to completion, including design, production, and delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with the account management, strategy, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of assets.

  • Allocate resources and delegate tasks effectively to optimize team productivity.

  • Review and approve final designs before delivery to clients.


Client Collaboration

  • Participate in client meetings to understand project goals, challenges, and brand positioning.

  • Provide creative recommendations that strategically align with client objectives and market trends.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by acting as a trusted creative partner.


Innovation & Trends

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to keep the agency’s work fresh and relevant.

  • Champion innovation by integrating new visual techniques, digital formats, and creative storytelling approaches into campaigns.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in an advertising or creative agency, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior design role.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality campaigns across multiple channels (print, digital, social, OOH, etc.).

Creative & Technical Skills

  • Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

  • Knowledge of digital and interactive design principles.

  • Ability to translate strategic briefs into compelling creative concepts.
