Role Overview

Globalco seeks a WordPress Developer for its India office. The position demands technical acuity, clean execution, and disciplined development standards. The candidate maintains the digital infrastructure of Globalco and contributes to global website operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic WordPress websites with high performance and security.
  Customize themes, templates, and plugins based on project specifications.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to ensure coherent integration.
• Troubleshoot website issues and implement long-term technical solutions.
• Manage site migrations, updates, and backups in line with corporate policies.
• Optimize page load times, SEO performance, and cross-device compatibility.
• Maintain documentation of code and processes for internal reference.
• Execute QA reviews prior to deployment.
• Coordinate with the digital marketing and design teams to ensure alignment with brand standards.
• Respond swiftly to critical production issues during the assigned shift.

• Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, database structure, and plugin development.
• Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar builders.
• Familiarity with hosting environments and control panels (e.g., cPanel, AWS Lightsail).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
