Bar waiter / Barkeeper

Global Experts is a leading recruitment agency that helps skilled professionals get the best jobs with trustworthy employers. On behalf of our client, a 4*S Hotel in Vorarlberg, Austria, we are looking for a Barkeeper!

Main duties:

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Taking beverage orders and serving them to guests on a timely manner.
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
• Good knowledge of wine selection, wine service and Beer service.
• To deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries
• Delivering consistent, exceptional service in line with the luxury standards
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant menus to be able to offer guidance and make recommendations
• Pick-up food orders from kitchen and communicate to the chef regarding any special preferences or allergy.
• Ensuring that the bar and lounge stations are fully stocked, clean and tidy at all times.
• Clear tables and prepare for service by polishing cutlery, glassware and crockery etc.
• Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas.

The ideal candidate will:

• have a passion for all things food and beverage
• Speak English at a high level 
• be able to help train and supervise team members ensuring they deliver consistent quality of service
• Previous experience in a similar environment
• A strong understanding of the high standards that are demanded from a 4* and 5* establishments
• Be creative minded with a passion and respect for the provenance of food
• Relish the pressure of a busy restaurant environment
