Work Arrangement: Remote (U.S.-based)
Location: Remote, USA
Duration: 12-month contract (40 hrs/week; ~2,088 hours)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only
Engagement Type: W-2 only

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Technical Engineer to serve as an advanced technologist supporting a defined set of cloud and network infrastructure technologies. This role partners closely with Technology leadership and senior engineers to design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions that meet both current and future business needs.

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys working across architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational support within Azure and enterprise networking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and networking solutions
  • Perform infrastructure reviews, technical analysis, and solution design
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, standards, policies, and support documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, server, and network issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners as needed
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Participate in testing, deployments, and ongoing production support
  • Follow and promote engineering best practices, standards, and procedures
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to risk, regulatory, and internal control standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of systems, infrastructure, or technical engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with network engineering concepts and cloud networking architectures
  • Experience with Aviatrix or similar cloud networking technologies
  • Knowledge of server/client and virtualized environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments
  • Exposure to infrastructure architecture and standards development
  • Familiarity with IT service management and operational best practices
  • Experience in regulated or financial services environments
